MVP of the month
I am a self-identified intersectional feminist/activist/socio-political artist that focus’ on people of colour (poc) as my main subject matter. I think everyone should try their best to be intersectional activists and try to promote equality through equity in whatever way they can; and for me that means I want to tell the stories of poc and highlight our struggles through my art. I think it’s so important that we are heard and we are able to have discussions about these very relevant issues in order to get to a place of equality.
In my work (past and future) I hope to display a diverse array of issues that poc from all walks of life can relate to, whether it be on gender, race, size, sexuality, mental illness, disability, or religion. I think its really important that poc are represented in all aspects of the world, because at the moment we just aren’t.
